About the Cerberus Sounds and Orpheus Studio
Orpheus Studio is my own personal studio which occasionally records for other people. I am a musician and play mostly folk music, but my musical tastes stretch from classical to rock and back again. Most of my customers come to me because I have an appreciation of folk music usually lacking in rock orientated studios, but I enjoy working with all sorts of music.
It is an 16 track studio, with separate control room.
The studio uses two digital 8 track machines.
Stereo mastering is onto CDR or DAT but cassette masters could be made.
Digital Editing can be performed using Digidesign software and
The studio has a variety of outboard equipment and microphones.
Cerberus Sound Systems also has a small PA suitable for small venues and limited line up
bands. We have in the past provided PA for "Scotch Measure", "Jim and Sylvia Barnes",
"Geckoes" and Reading Folk Club, amongst others. The main use of this PA is for the english ceilidh band
"Wheelwright's Bane".
